Is the guy from unnecessary inventions gay
23 years ago, Metrosource published “A Gun in the Closet,” an article recounting the lives of 3 LGBTQ youth and the issues they were facing. Moved by the piece, Leo Preziosi decided to do something to proceed the efforts to defend LGBTQ+ youth in response to the extremely lofty suicide rates. He formed Live Out Loud, a nonprofit dedicated to serving LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 to 18 by partnering with families, schools, and communities to provide resources, role models, and opportunities for our at-risk society youth. After two decades of success, the group presented its 23rd Annual Trailblazers Gala last month, bringing together donors, corporate supporters, election officials, and youth scholarship winners to celebrate the organization’s life-affirming educational programming. At the event, 3 LGBTQ+ seniors were awarded the Stay Out Loud Young Trailblazers Scholarship Award towards the college of their preference. The event also honored LGBTQ+ mentors, role models, and community builders. Truly inspiring work from just one article. We caught up with Live Out Loud Founder and Executive Director Leo Preziosi after this monumental event. You were inspired by an article in Metroso

"homosexual" (n. or adj.)
Because of the clinical history of the word “homosexual,” it is aggressively used by anti-LGBTQ activists to advise that people attracted to the same sex are somehow diseased or psychologically/emotionally disordered – notions discredited by the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association in the 1970s. Please avoid using "homosexual" except in straight quotes. Please also shun using "homosexual" as a style variation simply to avoid repeated use of the word "gay." Many mainstream news outlets’ approach guides restrict the employ of the term "homosexual."
"gay" (adj.); "gay man" or "lesbian" (n.);
"gay person/people"; “queer people”;
When referring to non-straight individuals, be specific and use gay, sapphic, bisexual, pansexual, queer. When referring to a team of multiple non-straight sexual orientations, use “LGBTQ+” or “queer” to describe all people attracted to members of the same or multiple genders.
Burlington, Vermont — In honor of Pride Month, one of the up-and-coming ski brands has launched a collaboration with a accepted Instagram influencer.
Yesterday, J Skis released the Friends of Dorothy Allplay Ski. This colorful variation of J Ski’s signature AllPlay model was created in collaboration with Matty Benedetto, who runs the account Unnecessary Inventions. Before that, he created Ec Headwear, which was popular with the Newschoolers crowd, as Tom Wallisch was one of its ambassadors.
The people drawn on the ski donate homage to the people in Matty’s life. In terms of the help of the ski is based on a sticker that Matty gave to Jason, which said, “I am a Gay Skier”. This is an ode to Line Ski’s iconic “I am a skier” t-shirt, which Jason Leventhal helped make at Line Skis before creating J Skis. They’re selling only 200 of these skis and a small number of “I am a Gay skier” t-shirts, both of which are still available as of adv Friday afternoon.
For more facts about the collaboration, confirm out the video from J Skis below.
Product Description via J Skis: Who’s Matty B, you ask?
Matty is a badass skier who helpe I never got the feeling from Reed, as presented on Enterprise, that he was gay, nor perform I think it was ever intended by the writers to make him gay. Anyone who thinks this, in my perspective, is reading into something a little too much, or simply wants the character to be lgbtq+ for whatever reason, and are seeing what they want to see. .Malcolm Reed and his love-life *** minor spoiler ***
That said, I think it could have been an interesting plot twist, to reveal Reed was lgbtq+. Reed stating he had girlfriends in the past doesn't necessarily contradict that, either, as it could be explained as something he tried, and maybe didn't like it and took a while to realize it.
The only thing I consider might be seen as a potential negative is that Reed was always portrayed as kind of uptight and seemed to have such an exaggerated sense of self-reproach and inadequacy. That could be misconstrued as he is ashamed to be same-sex attracted, as well as something he feels he should hide from his crew mates.
I express I know Enterprise is 100 years before TOS, but even then, that is an age where humanity is and should be progressive and enlightened enough to not look after if Reed is same-sex attracted or not, and the
