Thanks to places such as Delmonica’s, Katie’s Bar, AXM and nights such as Hot Mess and Shoot at Your Shot, Glasgow pre-lockdown had a thriving male lover pub and club scene.
And although you always will get some narrow-minded bam shouting 'You going to Bennetts' tonight at you from the guard of their tabloid-newspaper-filled pale Transit van on the street for so much as wearing a tote bag or nice cardigan, things have definitely changed for the better over the past few decades.
From a time when Glasgow could be considered a hostile place for the gay community - and not just because the participation in lesbian acts was deemed a criminal offence.
