(Did you know we own the largest LGBTQ late hours parade in the country? More on that later!) As you can predict , there is no shortage of things to perform here for Pride Month! San Antonio closed out Pride Month Saturday night with the largest LGBTQ night parade in the country.
The 43rd Identity festival Bigger Than Texas Celebration lit up North Main Avenue, as thousands marched through the city's novel Pride Cultural Heritage District.
This year's parade featured entrants, including many colorful floats and displays, that followed a large festival at Crockett Park.
"Just seeing everybody cheering about the equal thing, the community of all of it is really beautiful," said a parade goer who went by her first identify, Abbey Road. "Everyone should celebrate who they are and not be terrified to do that. We shouldn't have to exist in fear, just to exist. So be arrogant and be loud."
For Olga Tello, participating in the parade was about organism an ally to her friends and remembering those who have passed away.
"I had a lot of them during the AIDS epidemic that passed away, so I'm here for them," she said. "And I'm here to cheer on the new society members and support them. I've always supported them

Are you ready for our Annual Pride River Parade & Celebration?
Visit San Antonio created the Parade River Parade to promote the city's inclusion, encouragement, and support of the LGBTQ+ community to survive openly with equal rights.
This year, Pride&#x;s bringing a little more kick. The Rainbow Rodeo theme celebrates San Antonio&#x;s Texas roots and LGBTQ+ pride in full, bold color. From decked-out floats to cowboy flair, this parade is part party, part spectacle and all heart.
